Q.  Can we have a conversation or meet in person with you prior to committing to a formal counseling session?

A.  Absolutely!  We want you to feel comfortable prior to making any commitment.  We can meet in person or over the phone, whichever is easier.  You can get to know the coach so that you are comfortable throughout the whole process.

Q.  How are the counseling sessions structured?

A.  The counseling sessions are hourly, held at a pre-determined location or virtually.  We prefer to have the session at your residence so that you are most comfortable and we can access any paperwork that may be needed. Conference calls or other mediums such as  Zoom or Google Hangouts are also options for your convenience.  We offer a 1-hour session or a three session package to ensure we have enough time to address your situation.

Q.  Can I schedule a session myself if my spouse is not interested?

A.  If you are married, we do not conduct sessions without your spouse.  In order for the plan to be successful, both of you need to be working towards the same goal.  We will look at your situation as a couple, not as individuals.

Q.  How much preparation do I need to do prior to the session?

A.  Not much!  Prior to the scheduled session, you will receive forms to fill out so we have a better understanding of your situation.  If the forms are not returned prior to the meeting, the meeting will be rescheduled.  The hour that we have together needs to be as efficient and effective as possible.

Q.  Can you help me file for bankruptcy or negotiate with my debt collectors?

A.  As part of the session, we will evaluate your entire situation and walk through all the options. We will never advise you to file or not to file bankruptcy as we are not licensed to provide such advice.  We have bankruptcy specialists that we can refer you to if you choose to explore that path. We also do not participate in negotiations with debt collection agencies.  However, we will teach you how to deal with debt collectors on your own.
